Rotarische Radtour Juli 2010 In diesem Jahr findet die traditionelle Radtour mit Mitgliedern unseres Partnerclubs RC Jicin vom 02. - 07. Juli 2010 statt.

Sie führt von Decin bis Magdeburg, die Riesaer Freunde beginnen am 2. Tag in Dresden. Ziel der Radtour ist es, den Tourismus entlang der Elbe zu fördern, einen Beitrag zum Klimaschutz zu leisten und Rotary bekannt zu machen.
Das Anliegen unserer tschechischen Freunde: This special ELBE Tour will
not be only a ride along one of the most magnificent rivers in Europe but it
will fulfill also theRotary mission – public
service to municipality, local and international community, youth, handicapped…The Rotary Club
along the Elbe river will co-sponsor amenities such as unusual benches with
information panels with tourist maps about the greenway for public, drinking
fountains and similar. The ride will also be an opportunity for promoting the
greenway ELBE as connection between communities and places for various users of
non-motorized transport from cyclists to pedestrians, in-line skaters to people
in wheelchairs. The Elbe trail is well established in Germany while in the
Czech Republiclot of sections need to
be improved and made safer for users. There are also promotional materials such
as guide books in Czech missing. Promotion of this ride can help to make ELBE
greenway best trail in the Czech Republic and it can bring it on same standard
with Germany in regard of safety and quality of services provided.
